2020 Honda Civic Hatchback Review
The most significant change comes to the top-tier Sport touring trim, which now offers both the CVT and six-speed manual. The manual is new for 2020. Both gearboxes remain available on Sports trim. The 7-inch infotainment system is now standard on the Sport trimmer along with dual-speaker-eight as opposed to four. Pushbutton start and keyless entry are standard on both Sport and Sport touring along with Remote Start for CVT-equipped models. The Civic Hatch sport trimmer also gets exclusive seat padding along with an embossed Dash trim similar to the one on the Civic sedan sport.
All 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback hatchbacks receive updated exterior styling-revised fog light housings that now feature body color cross bars. The look is mimicked in the lower rear bumper openings, too. The grid gets an update along with the headlights that now have a blackout treatment. All hatchback trims get new dark gray or black wheel designs, while the Sport touring trim has improved LED headlights.
Inside, 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback has differentiated each trim level with different Dashboard trims. Sport touring and ex-L trims receive an exclusive brushed black treatment, while LX and ex have a new painted pattern. Sports trim gets a geometric pattern. The EX trim also receives an 8-way Power driver’s seat along with a leather wrapped steering wheel and Shift knob. Honda also upgraded soundproofing in all civilian hatchbacks.
The 2020 Honda Civic hatchback also gets a small price bump along with its new features and styling. Starting level LX with CVT now starts at $ 22,580 (all prices include the $ 930 destination fee). The 2019 model starts at $ 22,380. The remaining trims See similar price bumps. The updated 2020 Honda Civic hatchback goes on sale tomorrow.
With its 2020 update to the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback hatchback lineup, Honda has resolved one of our few complaints with this model. While the thinly equipped sports trim level used to be the only trim available with the amazing Six-speed manual transmission, the Civic hatchback’s fully loaded Sport touring trim level is now offered with a stick. The sport trim itself also gets more standard gear for 2020 to go along with the smaller styling tweaks that the 2020 Civic Hatch now shares with the recently refreshed sedan and Coupe models.
Front-end styling changes include a slightly different bumper and grille along with darker headlight trim, and the rear bumper is redesigned. The wheel designs are new. Inside, certain trim levels get different trim patterns, and all models get extra sound muffler that should quiet the cabin somewhat.
New standard features for the 10Best-winning 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback sports hatchback include a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (it previously had a small, non-touchscreen display with few connectivity features) and a proximity-key System. A power driver’s seat is a new standard on the EX hatch.
The base price goes up $ 200, with the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback starting at $ 22,580 for the base LX trim, and other trim levels increasing by $ 100 to $ 500. The new manual transmission sports Touring model starts at $ 28,980. The 2020 Civic Hatch will be at dealers starting August 16.
