2020 Honda CR-V Release Date – The Honda CR-V had its latest redesign in 2017, bringing a new image and revolutionary changes under its hood. With this new image and the still cool engines, we expect the Honda CR-V 2020 to be a remnant model.
2020 Honda CR-V Release Date
The CR-V aspect of the current generation was not a major departure from the previous model, but it was significant enough to give this popular model a new life. Upgrades included a new nose with a striking chrome grille, new headlights, new taillights and more. It was also longer and wider than before, which opened up more space in the cockpit. Speaking of the cockpit, this was also completely new in 2017, with its large amount of soft-touch materials, new information and entertainment system, improved options and ample space for passengers and cargo. All this has remained practically unchanged until 2019, and we expect the same in the 2020 CR-V.
The CR-V LX base is somewhat illuminated in characteristics, as its only advanced features include a 5-inch infotainment screen, electric windows, power locks, and Bluetooth. Fortunately, the rest of the line is well equipped with several options, which include a 7-inch high-resolution touch screen, navigation, an electric tailgate and more. We expect the same standard features and options on the 2020 CR-V.
The popularity of crossovers and SUVS is on the rise and Honda CR-V was one of the first compact SUV’s to be launched on the world market. Fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the fifth generation that will take this model one step further. We’re talking about the 2020 Honda CR-V. What do we know about it right now?
2020 Honda CR-V External
First of all, it is important to know that the CR-V has taken some of several vehicles from the Honda line. For example, the headlights resemble those of the Civic, while they also resemble those of Acura. Meanwhile, the back looks elegant with angled taillights, but the overall shape and size of the car are expected to remain the same.
New colors are expected and shoppers will have to choose from the palette of six different colors, while the hybrid will be offered with a distinctive paint.
2020 Honda CR-V Interior
Inside the cockpit, shoppers will no longer have the problematic dual-screen setup. Instead, the company installed a single larger touch screen. In addition, the speedometer is replaced with a digital counterpart, while the change lever will not be changed. Due to some other changes, the passengers in the back will feel more comfortable as the leg space has grown 2 inches.
The equipment depends on the molding, but even the car that sits below you will get a decent number of accessories. Some of the equipment that will extend throughout the range include Honda Sensing Safety Suite, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, rain-sensitive automatic wipers and much more.
2020 Honda CR-V The engines
The CR-V LX will include a 2.4-liter natural suction I4 unit that provides 184 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. The other models will have the I4 turbocharged of 1.5 liters of Civic generating 190 ponies and 179 lb-ft of torque. Both motors are connected to a CVT.
The new generation of CR-V brought a new turbocharged powertrain, but also retained the four-cylinder 2.4 liters as the base engine. This engine generates 184 horsepower and 180 lb/ft of torque. In EX and higher models, the standard engine is a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder turbo with 190 hp and 179 lb-ft of torque. Both motors are combined with a continuously variable transmission and with front or total traction. We hope that the 2020 Honda CR-V has the same engine.
The current Honda CR-V is a selection of maximum security of the IIHS, thanks to its “good” results in all the crash safety tests and the “superior” front shock prevention results. Note that the “top” rating in the last Test is with automatic emergency braking, which is standard on EX and higher models, but is not available in the basic LX model. We hope that these qualifications remain the same in the 2020 Honda CR-V.
2020 Honda CR-V release date and price
The Honda CR-V 2020 will probably appear at the end of 2019 or early 2020, but the official release date has not been established at this time. First of all, the company has the plan to see how well the hybrid would behave in the countries of Europe. Once that happens and the Japanese manufacturer is satisfied with the results, only then will they focus on the American market.
There is still no official release date for the Honda CR-V 2020, but we hope it will arrive in the fall of 2019 depending on the previous release dates of CR-V. With no upcoming changes, we expect the Honda CR-V 2020 to continue with a price similar to the current model, which varies from $25.395 to $35.195
